Experience

Senior Software Engineer at STARZ Entertainment

Jan, 2022 – Oct, 2025

  • Architected and led the full stack development of a re-platforming initiative, consolidating legacy UWP and Angular codebases for the STARZ Xbox streaming application onto a shared platform.
  • Achieved a 94% reduction in codebase size (from 50k to 3k lines of code) and significantly stabilized deployments, reducing release frequency from 2 times per months to 1–2 times per year.
  • Delivered full rebrand of the Xbox UWP streaming client solo, and ahead of schedule, using Figma/Zeppelin UX specs. Managed CI/CD pipeline for releases to the Microsoft Store.
  • Collaborated directly with Microsoft as an early adopter of WebView2 on Xbox, influencing platform standards and securing early compliance, which reduced Xbox-specific defects by over 80%.
  • Initiated and developed an internal Go-based CLI utility to automate flight management and Microsoft Partner Center submissions, saving development and QA teams 6–8 hours per release cycle.
  • Evaluated and presented analysis on integrating Gemini CLI and Copilot into the developer workflow for enhanced developer productivity.
  • Partnered across design and backend teams in a fully remote Agile (JIRA) environment.

Lead Engineer at Gener8 – The RND Group

Feb, 2012 – Jan, 2022

  • Served as Technical Lead for multiple FDA-regulated diagnostic device software projects (C#, .NET, SQL). Drove system architecture decisions, code reviews, and delivery of production software for major clients (Exact Sciences, Beckman Coulter, Grail Bio).
  • Spearheaded the migration of the company's enterprise projects from .NET Framework to .NET Core, resulting in 40% increased capacity for cross-platform projects and improved long-term maintainability and performance optimization.
  • Contributed a full-stack ASP.NET API in C# to coordinate execution of assay automation scripts on Hamilton Robotics STAR devices for a cancer detection test (Grail Bio). My performance on a previous project led to this project's acquisition, generating $134,400 in revenue.
  • Lead developer for the preparatory instrumentation software for the Cologuard diagnostic for Exact Sciences. Product is in the market with $2.1 billion of annual revenue (2024).
  • Created a reusable print-service proof-of-concept that was later adopted across multiple products, lowering the development hours required for implementing print features by 70%.
  • Staff augmentation for Beckman Coulter on a team to help boost productivity on medical diagnostic device project in UWP / C# / XAML and take to finish line. In helping the team complete the project, my performance led to 2 additional resources from RND Group being added to other Beckman Coulter projects totaling $268,000 in added revenue.
  • Mentored junior developers, instituted pair programming sessions, and chaired the company events committee.
